The picture above is in memory of one of our former missionaries that was based out of Faith Baptist Church. Ed Hollingshed began a ministry to the Texas prison system named “Reaching Beyond Locked Doors” in the year 2000. This was soon after he and his family moved to Teague. He preached 7 to 10 times a week in prisons and jails for much of his ministry. Sometimes he preached even more than that. He continued to preach in the prisons as often as he could even after he got sick. He continued to serve faithfully in this ministry until he went home to be with the Lord in early 2024.
